With the price of the rooms, I was expecting a much lower quality hotel. The rooms were slightly outdated, but clean and nice enough. Not exactly a luxury hotel, but awesome for a short stay. The location is great- withing walking distance of the Byward Market and the Rideau Centre as well as some good restaurants (the rideau bakery is really tasty). By far the best part was the staff- amazingly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning for future stays in Ottawa.

The room was clean and basic. The hotel was okay. It is within walking distance to major attractions in Ottawa. Unfortunately, this being a city there is often road construction like there was during our visit. The noise, dust and dirt and scaffolding made it impossible to get around easily. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were able and willing to help with directions or advice. Our room on the second floor had a door that only opened half way since the top of the door was hitting the soffet. Very difficult to get in and out of, let alone bringing luggage in and out. We were not offered any help with our luggage. Even though this is a chain hotel and that is unlikely, there are some chain hotels I’ve stayed at where my bags are carried for me. The basic room we stayed in would benefit greatly with a microwave and maybe a mini fridge making it easier to have cheap meals on the go. Overall, the Days Inn is a good bargain with its free parking. It is impossible to park for free anywhere in the city except at some hotels. On our next vacation to Ottawa we will probably stay at the Days Inn Downtown.

Hi There, I just stayed 2 nights in this hotel, I completely not satisfy and don't like it: 1- Ants were everywhere in the room 2- Washroom's Vacuum fan doesn't work. 3-Blankets were not clean and tear. 4- Coffee maker was not clean and there was used coffee bag inside it. 5- Internet has low signal. 7- TV remote control doesn't work.

This is a Days Inn, and it shows. I stayed there last week for one night, and i did not encounter anything horrible. everything was clean, parking was free, there were irons and ironing boards and free coffee. The AC worked, the TV worked....etc. nothing bad. will stay again for another one nighter.

Although the hotel is cheap for Ottawa, more than 100$/night is too much for a non-smoking room that smelled of stale smoke, too low water pressure in the shower, non-existing minibar in the room, no hotel restaurant, gym or any other amenities. I wanted to end a day of travelling with a drink and ended up with drinking tap water out of a plastic cup.
